![]() C. Dean Andersson / Great Site and Thanks for the Review of Torture Tomb! You have a wonderful website, a fun and useful resource that I plan to return to for many future visits. I found it when a friend pointed me to issue #1 of Skinned Alive where I enjoyed reading your review of my 1987 novel, Torture Tomb. It was an unexpected honor to be deemed worthy of being in the company of the other notable books also reviewed in that first issue. If you come across a copy of my paperback novel of 1988 titled Raw Pain Max, it would probably also fit into a Skinned Alive issue, being about a reincarnation of the historical Hungarian mass murderess and torturer, the Countess Bathory. By the way, those two novels make up books one and two what I've come to call my "Dallas Horror Trilogy," the third being 1994's Fiend, in which some of the characters from TT and RPM also appear, Bernice and Jim, for example, after surviving TT. But Fiend does not have the high splatter count of the earlier ones, being set at a comic book convention in Dallas, and featuring an appearance by the immortal Witch of Greek Myths, Medea. My website has more about RPM and Fiend, pics of their covers, and info on my other work. c. dean andersson website e-mail "Evil recognizes evil, and the recognition is always painful." – DeSade Hey, it was a surprise for me as well to be contacted by the author of a book I read and reviewed 17 years ago (I still have it, too). Thanks for getting in touch and the endorsement of Toxic Waste, too. Be sure to pass on my well wishes to your Googling friend. I did have Raw Pain Max on my want list for a long time, but back then it was harder to find such titles in Australia because they were American pressings, not British. It should be much easier now with the likes of the ABE Book search engine and Amazon. I still prefer to buy books locally first, then go overseas if the title is not available here. Judging from your website, it looks like you've kept busy with writing, which is great to see. However, I'm still waiting for Torture Tomb The Movie. I'm sure that's not the first time you've heard that refrain... Anyway, when I get my hands on Raw Pain Max I'll certainly pen a review for Toxic Waste, perhaps though with fewer! exclamation! marks! Heh heh heh. Anyone who likes dark fiction with an 'edge' should track down Mr. Andersson's books pronto. |

![]() Chucky @ Fight EvilI found your site while checking the status of the movie Irreversible, if it
had been banned or not. Glad to see that it has not yet happened but I fear it will
not be released anywhere close to where I live. Keep up the great work though,
your site has heaps of information and I'll keep coming back to see what other
movies are possibly being banned by assholes.
You can always buy Irreversible from an online retailer on DVD, but this is not the same as having it playing in cinemas around your local area. Sadly the list of movies that have been cut or banned continues to grow. The arguments that call for more censorshit are based on ignorance, not logic. As long as governments and regulatory bodies pander to these witchfinders from the Dark Ages, we can expect the problem to exist for a long time to come. Thanks for the link to your horror movie website, too. |

![]() Ken and FamilyYou are one very clever and talented lunatic. I made everyone in the clan read at least little sample from your site.
Glad y'all enjoyed it. Ha-ha, the Club-X incident (journal 14/9/2003). What can I say except I could not prove that they weren't over 18. The weird thing was they all wanted penis-pumps. I had to draw the line and say, "Look, just buy one and share it!" The others got a few cheap DVDs and one wanted a naughty trinket but I forget what it was, maybe some playing cards. I am hoping my good deed will pay off one day with them lending me cars or older sisters. As for lovely Katie's reaction to the site by pounding your keyboard, well, now you know how I compose my reviews. I should point out to readers that Kaiser and Saffy are pooches. Finally, your determination that my website is also fit consumption for infants and small-brained pack hunters is duly noted. |

![]() MaryluI was deeply shocked and saddened upon the realisation that I was not
the first to sign this guest book.
With much love
Thanks mare, you are too kind. Perhaps I have given myself too much to do with this behemoth, but I am sure in a year or two it will be worth the effort. Don't apologise for quoting Douglas Adams, either. He was a great man. I hope he is doing well in the big '42' in the sky. |

![]() Hazard / "Ummm..."Well I know how you love typos so I thought I'd give you two more!!
Number one is that techno is spelt like that!
What a privilege having you as the first person to sign the guestbook – you have been there from the website's humble beginnings. And wow, you are a credit to the IT industry, being able to spot incorrect links like that, as well as displaying such a mastery of the English language. People who get xmas cards from you must be deeply impressed! I have an 'insider' who works at KFC, so stand by for some finger-licking gossip. Thanks for taking me along to see Undead tonight. It was a real hoot. |
