WTC 7...WTF ?
1 + 1 = 3 WTC 7 is destroyed on 9/11 at 5:20pm. Although hit by WTC 1 debris and partially in flames, this 47 story building was never struck by a plane. So why did it collapse almost symmetrically into its footprint? See how the drop actually accelerates, as per a falling object meeting no resistance. The roof dipping first is a sign of controlled demolition. Puffs of smoke from windows running up the side are also visible. Fire fighters were told to evacuate six hours earlier. GIF credit: 9/11 Oz

website intro
Welcome to my personal webshite. It features many varied topics but covers none of them comprehensively. Updates in some form now happen almost daily. More than anything I have escalated my weblog scribblings, perhaps to the detriment of review output. Such bursts of activity are always cyclic, so I expect to burn-out and shift focus sooner or later. Copies of my drawings will appear once I buy a scanner, which might goose me into producing more art...the weblit here on Toxic Waste certainly doesn't qualify!

Leave your shoes at the door and turn off all mobile phones before entering Toxic Waste. This solar powered, low-GI website contains some profanity and adult concepts equivalent to an Australian M 15+ rating. Furthermore, boring discussions about sport are refused classification 'round these parts. Proudly made in the United States of Australia with local materials and labour. No animal testing was carried out during its construction. Please return for recycling after use. All content is copyright © to each respective contributor. Best viewed in 1024×768 mode or higher on Firefox. Get hip.

special notice!

From 7 September 2008 onwards, this website, Toxic Waste, assumes that you have a minimum screen resolution of 1024×768 pixels. I will not make formatting concessions for smaller size settings any more.

So, if you're still on 800×600, it's time you got with modern times and increased it anyway. Either that, or buy a larger monitor. To change your screen resolution permanently in Windows, follow these simple steps:

Click Start, Settings, and then Control Panel.

Find the Display icon and double-click it.

Click the Settings tab.

Find the resolution slider and pick 1024×768 or higher. For LCD monitors, you should choose the screen's native resolution for best results. Click OK.

Click OK or Yes when the confirmation panel appears.

Text will look impossibly small, but you'll get used to it. A handy option is to find the Font Size settings for buttons and select Large Fonts.

Hammer's raunchy prehistoric opus When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970) is finally out in its uncut UK version after languishing on home video in the shorter US assembly. Released by Warner Bros, the US DVD comes as a double-bill with Moon Zero Two.

In other news, there's a longer, more graphic version of Hitchcock's Psycho out in Germany, which apparently suffered trims before it terrified audiences in 1960. Mother would be most pleased.

Pasolini's notorious 1970s art film Salo has been banned again by the OFLC. Click here to read more about it. A totally fucked decision. Is this the beginning of the end for our current honeymoon period for non-porn titles? As RC mentions, there's been a spate of bans in recent months in different media. It just goes to show: never become complacent.
